TRIAL PRACTICE

Hansen, McClintock & Riley Has A Robust Trial Practice

Our attorneys represent clients in literally all areas of civil practice in both state and federal court through trial and appeal, if necessary. These cases may involve professional negligence, automobile accidents, premise liability, employment, will contests, insurance claims, business litigation and family law.

Trial practice is the lifeblood of the Hansen, McClintock & Riley law firm. Advocacy is what we have to offer, and good advocacy benefits any kind of case. That is our belief, and one of the reasons for our continued success.

Each lawyer in the firm brings knowledge of, and experience in, specific areas of practice; however, few of us would describe our professional accomplishments by pointing to one or two of these areas. Rather, we think of ourselves as generalists – trial lawyers, not litigators. And, there are few Iowa firms that have the breadth of experience that Hansen, McClintock & Riley brings to a case.

We have appeared in court in almost every kind of civil dispute, and tried a significant number of them to verdict and judgment. Whether the case is complex civil case or a contested divorce, the firm’s clients enjoy an advantage when represented by a Hansen, McClintock & Riley lawyer.

Since the firm was formed by J. Rudolph Hansen and Haemer Wheatcraft in 1939, the firm has been involved in literally every type of civil case. Our late, revered senior partner, John A. McClintock, had a national reputation for outstanding advocacy in both trial and appellate courts in this state. Ronald A. Riley also provided outstanding advocacy to our clients for many years while he was a member of our trial group. The current members of the firm are proud to continue this outstanding tradition.
